How to detect the temperature and smoke of the excavator engine exhaust

Measurement of excavator engine exhaust temperature:

1. Measuring instruments

Use a digital thermometer when measuring the exhaust temperature.

2. Installation of measuring instruments

(1) Open the engine hood and remove the exhaust temperature detection plug.

(2) Install the digital thermometer sensor and connect it to the digital thermometer.

Note: Before installing or disassembling the measuring instrument, wait for the temperature of the exhaust pipe to drop. Do not allow the wire harness of the thermometer to contact the high temperature parts. You need to make an intelligent view of the public number of the front end attachments such as quality buckets.



3. Measurement conditions and methods

(1) Run the engine to raise the water temperature and oil temperature to the working range.

(2) Measure the maximum exhaust temperature. When measuring the maximum value of exhaust temperature, actual work should be carried out and the maximum value should be measured during operation.

Note: Place the digital thermometer in PEAK mode.

(3) Preventive maintenance cycle measurement of exhaust temperature step.

Place the operating mode switch in the A mode position.

Run the engine at high idle speed, release the pressure of the stick oil circuit by retracting the stick, and measure the exhaust temperature. The measurement standard is shown in the table.

(4) After the measurement is completed, remove the measuring instrument and replace the removed parts.



Measurement of exhaust smoke of excavator engine:

1. Measuring instruments

Measuring exhaust smoke is called using portable smoke detector.

2. Installation of measuring instruments

(1) Install the filter paper on the portable smoke detector.

(2) Insert the detector probe into the exhaust pipe.

Note: Do not touch high-temperature parts when installing and removing measuring tools.

3. Measurement conditions and methods

(1) Start the engine and keep running until the coolant temperature reaches the operating range.

(2) When the engine is suddenly accelerated or maintained at high idle speed, the exhaust gas can be stopped on the filter paper by operating the handle of the portable smoke detector.

(3) Take out the filter paper and compare and judge with the attached sample standard.

(4) After the measurement, remove the measuring tool and ensure that the machine returns to the normal state.
